APCHQ residential building guarantee :

Type of dwelling:

• Condominium of non-combustible construction of five or more units on separate floors.
• The multi-family building of six units or more that is not held by a non-profit organization or a co-operative.
• Existing building transformed into a condominium

Protection offered :

• The refund of deposits made up to a maximum of $30,000 when you can legally claim this from the contractor;
• The completion of work as set out in the original contract for your private portion, as well as the repair of apparent defects, when specified in the certificate of completion;
• One-year guarantee against hidden defects;
• Five-year guarantee against building construction defects;
• Automatic transfer of the guarantee to a new purchaser as long as the guarantee remains in effect.

When notice has been given in writing under the terms of the guarantee.
