APCHQ residential building guarantee :

Type of dwelling:

• Condominium of non-combustible construction of five or more units on separate floors.
  
  
• The multi-family building of six units or more that is not held by a non-profit organization or a co-operative.
  
  
• Existing building transformed into a condominium
  

Protection offered :

• Protection of deposit up to $30,000 in the case of bankruptcy, insolvency or the default of the contractor to meet his obligations.
  
  
• The completion of work in the building as set out in the original contract, and the repair of apparent defects in occupied areas on the condition that these works and defects are declared in writing at the time of the inspection.
  
  
• One year guarantee against hidden defects found in your individual unit.
  
  
• Guarantee for two years against hidden defects in common areas.
  
  
• Guarantee for five years against building construction defects.
  
  
• Automatic transfer of guarantee to a new purchaser as long as the guarantee remains in effect.

When notice has been given in writing under the terms of the guarantee.
